Introduction

Welcome to Caminho.DEV, a brand of CaminhoIT, LDA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Our Services

Caminho.DEV provides web development, design, and digital services. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Website design and development
  • Web application development
  • E-commerce solutions
  • UI/UX design
  • Website maintenance and support
  • Hosting services (via PassoCloud)

Project Agreements

Specific project work is governed by individual proposals and contracts that outline scope, deliverables, timeline, and payment terms. In case of conflict between these general Terms and a specific project agreement, the project agreement shall prevail.

Proposals

Proposals provided by Caminho.DEV are valid for the period specified in the proposal (typically 30 days unless stated otherwise). Proposals become binding agreements once signed by both parties.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in individual project agreements. Unless otherwise agreed:

  • A deposit is required before work commences
  • Milestone payments may be required for larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon project completion before final deliverables are transferred
  • Late payments may incur additional fees as specified in the agreement

Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Caminho.DEV website, brand, logo, and all content therein remain our intellectual property. Any tools, frameworks, or reusable components we develop as part of our internal processes remain our property unless explicitly transferred in a project agreement.

Client Projects

Upon full payment, clients receive ownership of custom work created specifically for their project as outlined in the project agreement. Specific intellectual property terms are detailed in individual contracts.

Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Transmit malicious code or interfere with website functionality
  • Collect information about other users without consent
  • Reproduce, duplicate, or copy our website content without permission

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaminhoIT, LDA and its brands (Caminho.DEV, PassoCloud) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our website or services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Warranties and Disclaimers

Our website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to keep information accurate and up-to-date, we make no guarantees about completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content.

Project work is delivered according to the specifications in individual agreements, with warranties as specified therein.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
