Hosting is a service, not a folder on a server.
Plenty of plans say "hosting included" and mean disk space. Ours means the platform is run, patched, backed up and looked after by the same people who built your site — and that when something is wrong, there is somebody to ask.

How your website gets hosted
1. Your plan starts
Hosting is part of the plan — there is nothing separate to buy, set up or renew.
2. We configure it
Domain, DNS, SSL, mailboxes and backups, set up for you.
3. You approve, we launch
The site goes live on our platform once you are happy with it.
4. We keep it running
Patching, backups and support for as long as your plan runs.
The parts you would otherwise have to manage.
Running a website properly means keeping a server patched, a certificate valid and a backup you can actually restore from. On a managed plan none of that reaches your desk.

Hosting questions
Do you sell hosting on its own?
Hosting is included with every Website Plan. We can also host one-off websites we build, by arrangement. For a website we did not build, talk to us first — it depends on the site.
Where is my website hosted?
In the EU. Backups are kept in separate off-site storage, also within the EU/EEA.
Do I need to buy an SSL certificate?
No. A standard SSL certificate for your website's domain is included and renewed automatically while your plan is active. If you need an enhanced certificate, we can quote for one.
What if my site goes down?
Contact support. Where qualifying downtime within our control takes a month below 99.9%, you can ask for a service credit on that month's plan fee, as set out in the terms.
Is email included?
Yes — mailboxes on your own domain. The number of mailboxes depends on your plan. Email is not covered by the website backup, so keep your own copies of anything business-critical.
